MDDP get-togethers

The Project arranges for get-togethers for its participants from time to time. These gatherings are always social in nature and it is often held at the home of one of the participants. There is no obligation for any member to host a get-together but volunteers are appreciated. Attendance by the participants is also not compulsory. However, such gatherings provides the participants the opportunity to reconnect with families of other Dutch descendants and they usually have a positive outcome.

It is also common for a guest of honour to be invited for the gatherings. Previous special guests included Madam Diana Herbrink, Personal Assistant to the Dutch Ambassador; Indo-Dutch Eurasian couple, Jan and Tineke Horstink; and Mr. Marco Winter, Managing Director of the Malaysian Dutch Business Council.
