Queen's Day/Window on Holland 2005

On 28th April 2005, the Royal Netherlands Embassy at Kuala Lumpur hosted their Queen's Day reception at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur. It was a close-door event and the guests were treated to the preview of the 'Window on Holland' exposition held there.

Window on Holland was organised by the Malaysian Dutch Business Council and it had gained a lot of publicity because it was the largest Dutch fair held in Malaysia so far. Also included were a number of Dutch cultural events, such as a Riddering (a Dutch musical instrument), Poffertjes making, Dutch clog making and the sale of hand-painted Dutch Delft Blue tiles and porcelain pieces.

Malaysian Dutch descendants residing in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Malacca attended this year's Queen's Day reception.
